PostMyDoc (ABN: 22 813 598 932) (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
2. Information We Collect
We collect information necessary to provide our digital-to-physical mail service, including:
- Personal Identifiers: Name, email address, and phone number.
- Recipient Information: Name and physical delivery address.
- Document Content: Data contained within the PDF files you upload.
- Technical Data: IP address, browser type, and usage data via cookies.
3. Handling of PDF Files and Sensitive Data
- Purpose: We use your uploaded PDFs solely for the purpose of printing and mailing.
- Retention: All PDF files are permanently deleted from our local systems and servers immediately following physical fulfillment (handover to Australia Post). We do not retain digital copies of your documents.
- Confidentiality: During our manual fulfillment process, your documents are handled with strict confidentiality by authorised personnel. We do not read or monitor content except where required for technical formatting.
4. Third-Party Disclosures & Overseas Data Flow
We disclose information to third parties only to facilitate our service:
- Australia Post: Recipient details are shared for delivery.
- Stripe: Payment information is processed by Stripe. You acknowledge that Stripe may process data on servers located outside of Australia (e.g., the United States).
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or a court order.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures, including SSL/TLS encryption for all file uploads. While we take every reasonable precaution, no online transmission is 100% secure.
6. Access and Correction
Under the APPs, you have the right to access and correct the personal information we hold about you. Due to our deletion policy, we will not have access to your PDF content once fulfilled.
